Pine Email

Pine - a Program for Internet News & Email - is a tool for reading, sending and managing electronic messages (email). Pine was developed by the Computing & Communications Department at the University of Washington. Though originally designed for inexperienced email users, Pine has evolved to support many advanced features, and an ever-growing number of configuration and personal-preference options. You access Pine by logging into your account via SSH (Secure Shell, Protocol Version 2), then typing "pine" at the prompt. Very convenient, and highly recommended for reading your messages over an encrypted link.
